This week’s lecture involved the topic of gaming, which I
can admit now, is not a strong suit of mine.
Tutorial Task: 1.
·
The first game I played?
I’m quite confident it would have been Sonic the Hedgehog on Sega, but I wasn't much of a ‘gamer’ then and not much has changed throughout the years.
·
My favourite game? I wouldn't necessarily say I have a favourite because I don’t play games enough
for that, but I have enjoyed various GTA (Grand Theft Auto) games.
·
There’s no chance I would
call myself a gamer, I simply have no interest in playing games for hours on
end. I don’t see the appeal in games really, on console or otherwise and half
the reason is probably because I’m a sore loser anyway.
·
I can easily say that I
haven’t yet found a game that has made me feel like I were spending too much
time playing it, I get bored after an hour or two if that.
·
Games most certainly do
have an adverse effect on some of its players, seeming as how quite a few
individuals over the years have died from gaming too much.
2. The next task was to have my topic for my written essay approved and I have chosen the ever intriguing topic of social media and whether it impacts the health of young people due to extensive use.
